Hey Cornell College Lacrosse Fans!
At Cornell we strive to give our student-athletes the best experience possible and prioritize their safety. Each year, helmets improve and we need to be sure that our athletes are wearing the safest gear possible. We also want to give the team the chance to improve their skills, which requires costly overnight travel since lacrosse is not widely played in the Midwest. We have traveled as far as Indiana, Minnesota, and upstate Wisconsin to participate in matches and tournaments, giving our athletes the opportunity to compete with the best. We’re looking to our Cornell community to help us continue to upgrade our equipment and provide these travel opportunities.
Your donations support...
Team travel, meals, and vital pieces of equipment. All equipment is approved by the NOCSAE in order to compete. Your donation is critical in our mission to offer a transformative experience and keep our athletes safe!
A Message from Coach Zierten:
“These funds will help support us in our efforts to outfit our players with equipment head to toe, such as helmets, gloves, elbow pads, and shoulder pads. They also allow us to take overnight trips like our Block 5 break trip to play at Centenary College of Louisiana, our spring break trip to Indiana to face Trine University, and our recent hotel stay in Wisconsin to play conference foe, Northland College. Thank you in advance!”
Why are donations necessary?
We are reaching out to all family, friends, former players, and fans to ask for your support by making a gift to the Cornell Men’s Lacrosse program. So far this year, the team has participated in multiple fundraising events to help aid in these efforts, such as working as the load-out crew for Vintage Market Days, working as the clean-up crew after RoughRiders hockey games, and running a popcorn sale through Double Good. However, in order to offer the best student-athlete experience possible, we need your help to fill in funding gaps to bolster the program and get to the next level!
